SI RE’S FINANCIAL STRENGTH IS RATED BY FITCH ‘A’, REMAINS STABLE
In August 2024, Fitch Ratings upgraded SI Re's financial strength rating to ‘A’ from ‘A–’, a rating it has held since its first evaluation in 2008. The outlook remains stable. The upgrade reflects Fitch’s revision of SI Re’s strategic importance within the SIGNAL IDUNA Lebensversicherung a. G. insurance group to ‘Core’ from ‘Very Important’, its very strong capitalisation, its solid market position and prudent reserve management.
Additionally, the agency has awarded SI Re the Fitch Financial-Strength-Seal, which is reserved for financially strong reinsurers.
